All Life Insurance companies have automatic set limits in place to trigger a requirement for certain blood and/or medical examinations. This is determined by sums insured, age, gender and your medical history.

Prestige Paramedical Group is a mobile pathology/paramedical service. In most cases, we will contact you to arrange an appointment at your home or workplace. For certain requirements, you may need to attend a specialist or GP at no cost to yourself.

• Fasting blood tests require a minimum fasting period of 10 hours.
• Drink plenty of water.
• Take medications as per normal schedule.
• Avoid strenuous exercise before the appointment.

• Blood tests only – 15 minutes.
• Short medical and blood tests – 30 minutes.
• Paramedical Exam or GP Medical and blood tests – 45 minutes.

• Height and weight measurements.
• Blood pressure and pulse readings.
• Blood tests – Cholesterol, liver/kidney functions, glucose, HIV/Hepatitis.
• Urinalysis – The nurse will provide you with a sterile jar to collect a urine sample. This sample will then be tested for protein, blood, glucose and bilirubin.
• Basic medical history questions.
